We live in a busy age, rushing to complete a checklist of things and hoping to find fulfilment and satisfaction in our toil. As I paint, I slow down. I am unsure of what the end product will be, but I accept that every brushstroke might eventually produce something beautiful and worthwhile if I am patient and persistent.
As my hands worked, my heart recalled the many good gifts that God has blessed me with. My heart was satisfied, for I was filled with delight.
