When I see my paintings, I see capsules of moments, meditations of my heart and mind and exploration. I see what it meant for me. This one was me trying my hand at large paintings and practicing. Learning what didn’t work. Seeing what did. Being patient with exploring new ways to make it work – layers of paint with different opacities, colours that I had not previously tried. New materials and techniques. I remember sitting in my friends room and borrowing her crayons and seeing what it might create. A good time and laughter. Feeling light.
